Anything That Can Click 2 Second Let Go Then Click Again

Hello,

We need to do further investigation so that we will know why you need to slowly click a program or folder twice for it to open:

  • Have you recently made any change/updates prior to this issue?
  • Is the computer running slowly or lagging?
  • Have you tried using a different mouse to check if it is the same?

In the meantime, let try to change the double-click speed to check if it will help. Here's how:

  1. Right click the Start button and select Control Panel.
  2. In the Control Panel window, click Ease of Access.
  3. Under Ease of Access Center click Change how your mouse works.
  4. On the next window, click Mouse settings. This will open the Mouse Properties.
  5. In the Buttons tab, toggle the Double-click speed to your preferred speed.

Let us know how it goes.

Regards.

First of all, really complicated and weird Microsoft account login. It does not log me in from the first time and at all until I take some weird steps and use my innovation. Most people would probably give up right on the login issue.

Now to answer your questions:

  • Have you recently made any change/updates prior to this issue? No, but Windows always udates something almost daily.
  • Is the computer running slowly or lagging? It is slow and lagging a lot of times, especially after a few hours of work, but I have a lot of software on it and malware scanning etc. did not find anything wrong.
  • Have you tried using a different mouse to check if it is the same? Yes, but this is not a mouse issue. Pass this issue to a high level technician.

And now I can not find nor see the "Change how your mouse works" Under Ease of Access Center . Are you supporting some other version of Windows? Did you notice I said Windows 8.1? Are you sure you are authorized to support? If you could please call a professional specialist to support my problem.

Also, why would I want to adjust my double click speed? This is not an issue with mouse nor double clicking. That is why I clearly stated SLOW CLICKING, to make sure some oddity does not think I am talking about double-clicking. Do you think all functions in a computer need double clicking? Your level of nowledge of Windows is BELOW average beginner user. This indicated you have no knowledge of Windows, let alone you are unfamiliar with layout and are not providing correct instructions for ever simpliest tasks. You seem to be a robot. Give me a professional, a human to support this case.

The FM is trying to diagnose the issue and based on what you have said, could be your computer is obsolete and there is a lag time between those clicks.

If you can't locate the double click speed, here's a video which is simplified enough for you to understand: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pk5itxY_n4w

My computer obsolete? Hahaha, that's funny. Have never heard that one before. I use computers for over 30 years. If Microsoft hires such specialists then I better get Linux. My computer was purchased in 2014 and is a Japanese/German FUJITSU. I already said this has nothing to do with double-clicking or its speed and I said that at least twice and i put it very clearly in my OP, so you're trolling.

This issue has been supported online for Windows XP, and I think also for 7, but not for 8.1. I tried to follow directions for those, but to no avail. I need support for Windows 8.1 asap before they discontinue. Most important I posted the support request before Jan. 8. I will never download Windows 10. If I have to I will get Linux or anything else or quit using computers rather than begin using Windows 10. Windows 8.1 is the last Windows for me and it has to last me a lifetime.

Planned Obsolescence at it's "best". Also, since all I receive from Microsoft support is trolling, it means this issue is one of those intentional annoyances, such as waking my PC every hour all day long and not supporting the issue. It means it is created intentionally with some possibly sinister or commercial purpose. I suspect every so frequent Windows updates do more damage than repair it. My last 2 PCs were damaged by MS sending certain files into them, forcing me to by new PC and upgrading Windows and now I suspect MS updates intentionally damage computers with older than Windows 10. Why would they do that? Why wouldn't they? Planned Obsolescence at its worst.

After all that said I demand support for this issue or I will never use Windows and any Microsoft products ever again.

Sorry for the late response. What troubleshooting steps have you done so far? We need to rule out software conflicts by performing a clean boot. You can refer to this article on how to perform this.

Note: After performing the said troubleshooting steps, you can refer to Reset computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting on the same article.

Keep us updated.

Because we got morons and trolls trying to answer with lame brain excuses or twenty questions. Hey moron read what he said. Same thing here and using the latest update Windows 10 version on 5/2/2018!!! My computer is top notch and internet speed is topnotch. Totally protected security wise. This is either a Microsoft issue or a Chrome issue.
